Holi with luimaria!!!!!!

Hello earthlings!!

Guess who did something last Saturday…

Me!!! Haha I usually don’t do much but this week my sister invited me to go to Holi and I brought Lui with me and we had a blast! My sister didn’t end up going at the same time that we did but besides the point.

This was my first time at the Indian festival of colours (I’m Indian but Catholic so  this isn’t our festival) but I really wanted to throw paint around and have fun so I decided to do it.

We got there and basically there was a fair amount of people already there (for Christchurch anyway) and we bought our paint and we were off!

It was kinda like a party where you threw paint everywhere and danced along to a mix of Hindi and English songs. I got really into the dancing part because it’s my favourite thing to do 😀 Lui will confirm that I did not care about the other people and I was just dancing like there was no tomorrow haha

They had some activities and brought people from the crowd to the stage to have dance offs but my favourite part of the day was throwing paint at Lui and dancing along to the music specifically the Hindi songs!! 🙂

We had an amazing time and we finished the day by going to mall and buying Indian food 😀  haha of which I spilled 😉 We couldn’t wash our faces till we got home and it was weirdly satisfying watching strangers stare at us and then pretend they weren’t staring 🙂
