I was running out of ideas because as you may have guessed, it’s much harder to blog if you do nothing and literally stuff your face with food and watch movies/tv shows 😉
I thought I would share some of my favourite memories of 2016 with you all 🙂
Funnily enough I actually did quite a lot this year 😀 I know it may seem far fetched but I kinda had a social life… kind of 😉
So at the beginning of the year, I was part of an Indian production done by kids to raise money for kids (some of the funds raised went to Hagar I think it’s called and they are trying to stop child trafficking in South Asian countries) anyway it was a dance production and all the music (which was music from old hindi movies) and the voices were dubbed so as to make it easier for the children because the leads were quite young.
Here are some photos of me and the group of people I danced with 🙂 ❤
It was one of the most tiresome, fun and rewarding experiences in my life and I genuinely enjoyed it because of all the effort my friends and I put into it 🙂
The fun doesn’t stop there because I was also a part of the school production of Grease which was also a blast!! 🙂 It occurred several months after the Indian production and it was a lot less physically intense because it focused not only on dancing but singing. We also got to meet BOYS! Hahaha I say that like I’ve never seen them before 😛 But because I’ve been at a girls only school for three years now, I don’t really know how to talk to boys my age… lolol first world problems 😛
Here are some pictures of my ordeal 😉
It’s quite easy to pick me out because I’m the token Indian who just does not have the correct make up colour 😉 😛 That was a joke and not meant to offend in any way! You’ll also find luimaria in these photos because we did the production together
What else did I do? Oh yeah there was school 😉
The two productions were two of the highlights of the year but 2016 for me and Lui consisted of a whole lot of first time’s.
We started our Youtube channel: Anju and Lui
That was quite a big step for us because it gave us a sense of purpose… of course we’re still trying to improve it 🙂
I had my first big exams which was quite scary and exhilarating in a weird, I-never-want-to-do-it-again way 😉 Unfortunately there aren’t any photos of me getting my study on during an exam 😉 Shame isn’t it? 😛
I almost forgot my birthday… I turned 16 😀 It was a superhero/villain theme and a fantabulous day ❤
Ft. luimaria as per usual 😉
Lui and I also performed at a school event because we wanted to increase our confidence on stage etc. It was possibly one of the scariest things because it was a very tightly packed area and I could pick out most people’s faces which made it that much more intimate and especially because this is people that I would continue seeing long after we’ve performed. It must not have been all that bad because the next day we were bombarded with compliments and the principal also came to compliment us… Frankly I thought I was getting in trouble but luckily she was just really impressed by our God given talent 😛
This is the only photo unfortunately and you can’t see Lui that well 😦 She’s the head behind the piano…
There was also the Indian Xmas function which I wrote a post about for Blogmas… as you do when you run out of ideas 😉
Christmas day itself consisted of a lot of food including chocolate, lounging around and watching LOTR extended Director’s cut 😀 Fun times hahaha! It’s our own Christmas tradition ❤
That was basically the year for me! I had a lot of fun and I got to make heaps of friends, something I don’t get to do a lot of because I’ve been going to the same school for 3 three years so the circle generally hasn’t grown. I’m not sure if I’m a shy extrovert or a social introvert because I love being social but I also love not having to talk to others… hahahahaha the troubles 😉
I hope you enjoyed reading! Feel free to comment your favourite memories from 2016!
Anju out ❤
